The historic town of Silverton perfectly captures the charm of the outback while being famous for its role in silver mining history and on the silver screen (it has starred in many iconic Australian films).

We started our day with a visit to the Goal Museum which houses uncountable historical objects and pictures. The kids were handed over a Look and Find list of objects and enjoyed running around the many rooms to locate each item and were rewarded with little easter eggs by the very friendly museum host.
We stroll through town following this little guide :-)

Silverton has not many building. There is s a little school built for the kids of the mine workers in its early days, a very beautiful church, and a couple of art galleries.

We ended our stroll at the one and only famoushotel where we stopped for a drink (of course!).

A group of wild donkeys on the street are curious to meet us. Along the `main` road we also saw a local man guiding camels with tourist though town.
Bye bye famous Silverton. Next stop is Mutiwintji National Park were we will stay two nights. A well deserved break for this little road trippers.
