We take a long weekend with my parents to discover the powder sugar white beaches of Jervis Bay.

Unfortunately the weather is against us and is the rain is pouring down hard on us. At a moment of ligher rain we pitch our tents, but a couple of puddles make it to the inside, our shoes and clothes are wet and we end up spending the evening in the amenity block.

At night I wonder if and when the water will leak into our tents, and if it really was a good idea to bring my parents on camping....

By miracle it is dry in the morning. The day has some showers but surprisingly better than expected !

The kangaroos are welcoming us at breakfast.

Tristan finds a shark egg on the beach! It is a big spiralling egg shaped black object, how cool is that!

In the evening we decide to move to a fire wood place where we can enjoy a campfire. We cook hamburgers and marshmallows. Some King Parrots share the meal with us. We hardly finished our meal when a new rain shower, extuinguishes our fire. But it was still good fun!

At last we end up seeing lots of blue sky and enjoying the kayaking. Thanks to Paul. Thomas most generous colleague who has borrowed his car and kayaks so we could make this trip.

This weekend we also baptised our new big family tent. It has a `living` room where we can play some games when it rains.

On the last evening we go for night walk. Sometimes fluorescent light/animals are visible in the waves. No luck this time, but the perfect reason to come back!

Upon our departure we get the chance to use jumper leads, something i had never done before. All good, battery charged ready to go home.

On the way back we enjoy a last stop on the beautiful Hyams Beach.
