9-10 October 2022, Jamison Valley, Blue Mountains

Once more the weather gods try to keep us home and away from the Blue Mountains.

Heavy rain predictions for this weekend (resulting in historical records and potential flooding) makes camping really impossible. We already know how water puddles inside the tent feel and wish not to repeat this experience.

Thanks to many cancellations (by more reasonable people) the camping site has now cabines available! So we upgrade to a (dry) cabine for ourselves, and a (waterproof) campervan for opa and meter. There we go!

Here we share our humid, wet, steamy, tropical rainforest pictures with you.

The steepest train in the world, through a tunnel in the rocks all the way down into the valley.

This cable train originated from the early mining days.

The rain forest down in Jamison Valley. Wet and beautiful !

Katoomba Falls

The Three Sisters as never seen before. Ok we just don`t see them....

Only when you get really really close ....

Cosy dry nights and warm little boots

And last but not least some blue sky views ... !

Cliff Top Walk

ps: Ohh... and we met.... the Gruffalo ! Awesome, Aiko was impressed!
