This summer we enjoyed a long and heart warming visit from my parents. We shared our daily lifes together as well as beautiful road trip from Sydney to Melbourne!

The kids were delighted to spend their summer holidays at home with opa and meter, They enjoyed having plenty of time to relax at home, reading, playing board games.

And also a couple of daytrips like Taronga Zoo, Balmoral beach, the library, the playground, etc "Best holiday ever!"

For Thomas and me, who returned to work 8th of January, it also felt like an extended holiday:

No morning stress, just waking up and leaving, no kids to prep. So easy! We just loved our daily coffee date together on the way to work.
Eating dinner together at 6pm (never been so early and relax!). Thanks Opa for groceries and cooking!
Empty laundry baskets all the time. Thank you Meter ;-) !

Seeing eachother back for the first time in 12 months. Waiting on the street till they arrive... Saturday 6 January 6am.

First day, despite the jet lag we go for a walk at the harbour in the scorching sun.

Grandparents and grandkids going three days on holiday at Ocean Beach Holiday Park. In the meantime the parents enjoy some alone time!

Reading night. I love the cosy lights at night, so Meter uses her flashlight for Soduku solving :-) and Opa is deep diving into Tristan`s big scientific book "How everything works"
