Healesville's Sanctuary

Healesville's Sanctuary focusses on protection of endangered native animals such (tree kangaroo, tasmanian devil, black cockatoo, ...) as well as taking care of injured animals found in the wild.

The vets at the clinic examine, operate, provide medical help so the animals can recover and be released back into the wild. We can follow all activities in the surgery & laboratory through the glazed walls which is pretty impressive: we saw a Kookaburra regaining consciousness after an operation.
