Day 1 - Return to the Outback !

Here we go! It had been a while, since July last year (Darwin). But this Easter week we are making another roadtrip.

We loved the Outback so much last year that we decided to do it over again. But this time less km and more time to explore !

We will go back to Mungo and Mutawinjii, two National Parks with great significance for the aboriginal people. In both places we will join aboriginal guides on a walk and learn about their culture.

We will also explore new places: Silverton in the far west and White Cliff, a miners town where we will visit the Opal mines. Our kids are excited and so am I!

Most likely we won`t have internet connection for biggest part of the trip, but here a preview of our itinary:

We left Sydney around 11am and made it to Gundagai at 5pm. We are on point B on the map and tomorrow another big drive to the west.

We are prepared for the rain this year as we hired a trailer with big tent and awning. Fortunately because we got our share today.

Night is falling quickly now at 6pm, so we keep dinner in the dark very easy (cereals or noodles) and are all snuggling into our sleeping bags before 8pm to enjoy our books while listening to the rain.
