Day 1 - Flight to Brisbane
We are all excited to join our friends for a two week roadtrip. We limited our luggage to minimum knowing that we will live 2 weeks packed in a small campervan: 2 big bags for 5, well done! There we go!
We meet eachother at the rental company, and head quickly for a little park with playground to share a picknick and catch up. What a joy to see the kids stick together from the first minute, like they had never been seperated.
The afternoon we drive straight out of Brisbane, 2 hours to the North where we will spend the night on a Macallon farm. Stephanie found us a couple of great camping spots on Hipcamp, a platform where owners share their space with campers. Much quiter and authentic than the typical caravan parks. However often no amenities availables. For our first night a `portable toilet` would be available upon request. Almost there we realised we didn`t mention it, so the owner didn`t have one available and suggested to go to Bunnings to buy one, but non there neither. Long storey short, no toilet tonight. So we use all 9 the Bunnings toilets and then head to our camp spot with a roll of lavender sented plastic bags...
The lady welcomed us with the best gift ever: an already lighted camp fire! Our adventure has begon :-)
Day 2 - Lamas and beach
In the morning we were surrounded by lama`s and joined the family on a tour to feed the animals : plenty of lamas, very soft alpacas, a couple of cows, a grumpy camel and his loving mum, and a very noisy donkey.
In the afternoon we drive to Hervey Bay where we enjoy a pick nick on the beach.

While the mums go for groceries, the daddies and kids have a jump in the freezing cold pool of the caravan park. We will stay here 2 nights next to the port, our departure point for tomorrows excusions to Fraser island.

Ziet er heeeeerlijk ontspannen uit!
Wat een avontuur!!
Ziet er zalig uit!
