December 31
Last day of the year, normally we celebrate with friends, dinner and wine. This year we ate spaghetti cooked on a tiny gas stove, drunk from our water bottles and sat it in the dark around a campfire outside surrounded by the sounds of nature.
It was just the five of us, but it was great watching the flames ... inspiring and made us thinking about past and future. What are you grateful for in the old year? What do you wish for the new year? Every person spoke at this turn and completed his thanks/wishes while throwing some leaves in our fire...
What are you grateful for?
Chloe: camping with mum and dad
Ilse: seeing our kids settling in happy (after the huge changes), being surrounded by this incredible nature
Tristan: WhatsApp, because we can talk with the people we miss
Thomas: all the adventures we are living together every day
What do you wish for ?
Chloe: a big birthday party with with cake baked by daddy, and a pool, and a bouncing castle
Ilse: spending more time outside, reconnecting with the nature, ...
Tristan: a happy year with lots of adventures together in the nature
Thomas (and Aiko): that each of us might find some quite and peace, and his new place in day to day live

I am grateful for this thoughtful evening together around the camp fire, the quit and peace in our hearts.
We ended the year with a stroll to the beach to see the fire work.
